Regular readers will know that one of my interests is junk science in other times and places, largely because I think we can learn a lot from other cultures when it comes to dealing with quacks. Well, in the wake of continuing debate over vaccination, here's an interesting case of anti-vax mentality from Nigeria, as described in the PLoS Medicine paper "What Led to the Nigerian Boycott of the Polio Vaccination Campaign?", by Ayodele Samuel Jegede [1].
