Here's a video of highlights from last night's public meeting, featuring Chris French, Dave Gorman, Nick Cohen, Evan Harris, Brian Cox and Simon Singh. Michael Story made it, and a hat tip to Blue Wode for finding it!

It's my handiwork actually- Glad it found a home.
Excellent work, I've credited you properly now :)

I'm so annoyed that I missed it but I've got final exams coming up next week - which makes me think that there's probably lots of other students around the country who would be coming down and showing their support at any other time of year
Good luck Simon!
Incidentally, I'd just like to say that I'd be willing to fork out a few quid to help him fight his case if the Guardian doesn't step up to the plate. Anyone else?
The bar was filled to capacity (at least 250 I reckon), so probably a good job the students were busy! As for a fighting fund, there are several ideas on the table but we'll see what happens. You have to be very careful when you fund a libel defendant, as you can potentially become liable for damages if they lose I believe. Addiitonally, there's talk of perhaps setting up a broader funding system to help not just Singh but keep a fighting fund going for others who may end up in the same predicament. More on that in the future though - you should follow @JackOfKent if you don't already for updates.

You are a good man. Excellent video.
Meeting at a pub brings a new meaning to "Lawyers' Bar examination". ;)
If it comes to an appeal, and if third party financial support is allowed, I shall donate all that I am able to this righteous cause.
I shall also offer my emotional support to Simon, in big lumps, for free.
Excellent video, thankyou Michael. Frustrating that he could say whether he was appealing yet, but it sounds like he's leaning that way.
Thanks for taking and publishing this video, i would have loved to attend.
Thanks again!
Great stuff - have now linked to it from my blog.
One little thing - I think the editing has slightly changed the MP's speech - he was speaking on homeopathic arnica then it changed to him talking about (I think) the BCA legal chill, but it comes across as still talking about homepathy/MHRA.
But, that's a really minor point - I wasn't able to attend, and really appreciate the chance of a viewing!
