Dr. Joseph Obi is taking it to his critics with a ferocious impotent, sex-obsessed rant against Quackometer and Bloggerheads (although annoyingly not LayScience... Must Try Harder). (Cheers to Tim Ireland for the tip-off)

On yet another blog - this one at phlebologist.com - Obi makes a barrage of complaints against the Irish Independent, Bloggerheads, Quackometer, and an ex Newcastle Chronicle reporter who reported on Obi's fall from grace when he lived in Gateshead. They
range from the bizarre to the frankly sinister, disgusting and threatening.

On the Journalist:
The journalist in question published this article on Obi back in 2004, and obviously he's still pissed about it. I'm not even going to repeat the disgusting comments he makes about her. Suffice it to say they are threatening, sexually explicit, and a pathetic attempt at intimidation.

On Tony O'Reilly/Irish Independent:
Obi's beef with the Independent comes from this article, in which they pointed out that in fact his organization RCAM doesn't exist, other than in his own head.

"I therefore sincerely hope (and spiritually pray) that he ultimately dies a very slow and exceedingly painful death indeed"

"Royal College of Alternative Medicine (RCAM) currently pays proportionately far more Irish Income Taxes than a one Mr Anthony Joseph Francis O'Reilly... [who uses] ...his Xenophobic Irish Independent Newspaper to publicly claim that RCAM does not exist." 100% of zero is still zero, Obi.

"I flatteringly heard that Media Xenophobe-in-Chief Sir Tony O Reilly had personally given his blessing to one of his Racist Journalists at the Irish Independent Group to run an utterly useless Headline Article about a one Dr Joseph Chikelue Obi. The people who they claimed they had interviewed for the article have defiantly sworn that they never said anything anywhere near what the Irish Independent fraudulently wrote, and the whole article itself decisively bears the hallmarks of a Klu Klux Klan Hatchet Job.". Obi fails to realize that the paper trail alone shows RCAM to be a scam.

On Bloggerheads / Tim Ireland:
"The precise moment when a one Professor (Dr) Joseph Chikelue Obi became totally convinced that he had indeed ultimately reached Uber-Celebrity , Online Status , was when he metaphorically woke up (one boring winter's morning) to pleasurably discover the firm , exploratory tongue of a one Mr Tim Ireland (a.k.a Manic Lord of Bloggerheads) fervently stuck up his gluteus - voraciously rimming away with wanton (stalker-like) impunity." Seriously, what is this obsession with sexual acts?

On Quackometer:
"Collateral Global Publicity from the most recent Quackometer Blog Shutdown has delightfully served the online reputation of a one Professor Joseph Chikelue Obi exceedingly well indeed . . ." If by "reputation" you mean "as a lying, cheating, dangerous fantasist", then yes.

"Always remember to (very ,very) politely invoke the Quackometer's (phallus-faced) mother's purulently dripping perineum ; if ever the monumentally deranged Andrew Lewis crazily comes after your very own family ." Yet more bizarre sex quotes.

"...concerning Mr Andrew Lewis of the Quackometer Blog , and his Mother's Purulently Dripping , Gaping Perineum . . . I wish to very humbly state that it was Andy Lewis who came after me and my innocent family first." Family? What family?

"That very same Professor (Dr) Joseph Chikelue Obi still warmly relishes the utterly mischievous thought of summarily replicating the Landmark Quackometer Event ; sometime again . . . in the not-too-distant (earthly) future."

So there you have it, science bloggers in Obi's own words. The man is clearly deluded if he thinks that making a bunch of adolescent-style sexual remarks and threats is going to do his non-existent reputation any good.

P.S. - I'm still awaiting a promised second response to the detailed report I submitted to Ireland's corporate enforcement agents, more here as soon as I get it. Perhaps it's no coincidence that Obi is getting angry now...
