BPSDB The hit Creationist documentary "Expelled" is out on DVD! Go buy it now... or just slate it in the reviews. I've included some of the choicer reviews below.
"...prior to this I had a lot of respect for Ben Stein"
"Nothing could undermine the credibility of the Intelligent Design crowd faster than this dishonest, venal attempt to make an end run around the legitimate scientific vetting process."
"This is probably one of the worst movies I've seen last year."
"Fortunately, my boyfriend and I were the only people in the theaters, which allowed us to yell at the screen freely."
"90 minutes of your life you will never get back"
"It merely exposes Intelligent Design advocates as the fundamentalist nutcases that they really are."
"I am offended as a Biologist, a Christian, and a Human."
"I sat for an interminable period of time in stunned silence..."
"DISHONEST stupidity"
"I gave it one star because the DVD might serve as a pretty good coaster."
"Absolutely the worst movie of all time."
"I should have known better when the Expelled theater consisted only of me, my girlfriend, and my friend on a busy Saturday night. Well, in all fairness there was another couple who walked out in the first 20 minutes, no doubt to get their money back and salvage the rest of their evening."
"If film technology had existed at the time of Copernicus, then the Catholic Church would have made a movie similar to Expelled to convince people the sun revolves around the Earth."
"I was totally repulsed."
"If you like this movie, please seek help because you are a delusional, easily influenced brain-washed under-achiever."
"Medievally ignorant and dishonest propaganda."
"Most boring narrator ever."
You get the idea :)

Hit Creationist documentary?
Hit?
Here's the real evidence, scientists:
By May 29, this film had risen to the exalted position of #3589 in all-time gross, and #152 for the previous 365 days. Six weeks into production, their weekly grosses were down to (get ready for this) $365 per screen.
By comparison, "Mama Mia", hardly a blockbuster, grossed about four times as much its opening weekend as the total grosses for this piece of crap's first six weeks.
You guys may not be in the movie business, but let me tell you, the last movie I remember with grosses like that was "The Pickle".
Given the right wing's demonstrated track record in getting their zombies out for things like this, that is one pathetic performance.
Lol, well I was being a bit sarcastic. I mean, I'd also dispute the term "documentary" to be honest...
