Christian Voice Faces Bankruptcy

Stephen Green, National Director of the Christian Voice, faces bankruptcy, after losing an attempt to charge the BBC's Director General and the producer of Jerry Springer the Opera with blasphemy last year, and being ordered to pay costs of £90,000 ($180k) by June 26th. In a press release sent out on Thursday, Green stated that "the money is due to be paid today, but Stephen Green doesn't have it." Altogether now, ahhhh.

The infamous irritant whined: "Jerry Springer the Opera portrayed Jesus Christ as a nappy-wearing sexual deviant, who said he was 'a little bit gay'. It called Mary a rape victim, said the birth of Jesus was because 'the condom split', ridiculed His wounds on the cross and the sacrament of Holy Communion, had God as an ineffectual old man who needed guidance from Jerry Springer and finished up with Springer as a counterfeit saviour of mankind who told Jesus to "Grow up for Christ's sake and put some f***ing clothes on."

'It should be enough for Mark Thompson and Jonathan Thoday that they got away with blasphemy, insulting God and the Lord Jesus Christ, at least in this life. For these rich, powerful men to pursue me into the bankruptcy courts over money I don't have would be vindictive.'"

Yes, it's just so unfair when a man who innocently makes a publicity-seeking attempt to boost his pathetic, broke little organization's influence, by launching a ludicrous attempt to impose the rule of mediaeval laws that prevent people from daring to criticize religion, gets absolutely destroyed by the courts.

Stephen Green continued: "Mark Thompson earns well over twenty times as much in a year as I am worth. He could pay his own costs out of his inflated salary, and the BBC certainly would never notice the odd £55,000 alongside the money they squander on a daily basis." Yes, Stephen, but why the hell should the BBC - which incidentally means us license-payers since the station is publically funded - pay for your frivolous, idiotic and undemocratic legal actions against it? If you're crazy enough to attempt to impose blasphemy laws on the nation, then on your head be it.

Apparently, with Green threatening to declare himself backrupt, both sets of solicitors lawyers are talking about going after the donors who supported Green's frivolous action, however Green has stated that if the courts allow this move, he'll defy them and risk contempt of court. "I should go to prison rather than reveal their names, even if I could remember who they were."

Stephen Green, if you're reading this, you hang in there and keep those names to yourself.

A small correction to your otherwise excellent report of Green's woes.

Christian Voice has no connection with any of Mary Frightmouse's organisatons. The woman headed the vile Festival of Light and the National Viewers' and Listeners Association, which lives on, in a rather pathetic manner, in the guise of Mediawatch (http://www.mediawatchuk.org.uk/) which is headed by the the ridiculously ineffective John Beyer.

Christian Voice is Green's own creation, and as far as we can tell, he is the only member.

Title: Thanks

Cheers for that, I was a bit tired and emotional when I posted :)

I've sort of always had the impression that it was just Green, but it'd be cool to see some sort of confirmation. I wonder who donated to this daft campaign?

Well, thank God for that!

One less crusader against victimless crime.

Ha! I couldn't be happy... the world is better off with less of this degenerate kind. I hope he ends up eating pizza boxes living in a dumpster somewhere. Instead of "pray away the gay", he should "pray for more pay".

Silly bugger.
